Earl gets a pat on the head from owner Abigail Rooney of Milton Mills as they take a stroll about the village on Saturday afternoon. Earl, a year-old plott hound mix, found his way from Georgia to the Cochecho Valley Humane Society in Dover, where Rooney adopted him last year.

Crab Meat Casserole
Ingredients
* 4 slices of bread (white) torn up in water (1 cup)
* 1/2 pound sharp cheese grated
Mix cheese with bread and water
Brown below in several tablespoons of butter
* 1/2 medium chopped green bell pepper
* 1 medium chopped onion
* 1/2 cup chopped celery
Add these to bread and cheese mix
Bread in 1 egg
Add 1 can of crab and one can of shrimp or 2 cans of either (we liked crab)
Fold in 1/2 cup of mayo
Add 1 or 2 drops of tobacco
Bake 30 minutes at 300.
YUM!!!!!
